From Trash to trend.
The impact of cotton dust from the textiles industry on the environment and human health is hardly talked about. The problem associated with cotton dust is serious as it has no resale value. However, there are sustainable innovation ways of tacking that problem.
During the Semester course, at the design and innovation school at the college of management, we used digital fabrication at Fablab Israel to explore new options and find new innovative solution to make the textile industry more sustainable.
How can we use reverse resources to invent new environment? How can digital fabrication allow us to design and produce tangible objects on demand from leftovers and create sustainable fashion?
A commitment to worldwide innovation
Staying ahead of the curve in the world means promoting innovations and multiplying an organisation’s revenue streams in the long run.
The industry is clearly ready for innovative solutions, as evident in the ambitious sustainability targets set by many large brands and retailers, some of which are not attainable without innovation.
